About Us

At Strider PI, the five co-founders were all former trainers or teachers before we launched our PI Training and Consulting business.   We decided that we would focus on in-person training because it’s the only real way to learn to become a private investigator.  Consulting, which is normally one-to-one, can be done by any means, but real training requires some classroom time. 

Even for OSINT Training, we want to see you here, up close and personal.  It’s the best way to learn and to start building your network of Texas PI’s since there will be other people like you in the room.  A few experienced PI’s will be your instructors.  So, overall, it’s the beginning of your network as well as an opportunity for collaboration.  It’s also more fun!

Among the five of us, we have been police academy instructors, military trainers, OSINT instructors, college finance professors, serial predator researchers, tactical team instructors, and even English language tutors.  Our instructors’ experiences contribute to us creating what we believe is the best, in-person, private investigator training and consulting in Texas. 

In terms of backgrounds, our founding team includes a retired FBI Supervisory Agent, a Harvard MBA, a Police Chief, a Recon Marine, two CFEs, a USAF Sergeant, an LAPD Watch Commander, and a librarian.  Obviously, we are all Texas PI’s with specialties that range from white collar crime to international rescue to burglary, major case fraud, and more.  We’ve all got a few stories.

We consider ourselves to be the “0-1” trainers for new PI’s, and that’s whether you are a total newbie or an experienced pro from another field.  Our students have included military vets from all branches, moms, retired people, college students, FBI analysts, counter-terrorism OSINT experts, insurance agents, cops, corrections officers, and many others.  When we asked one student with high-level counter-terrorism experience why she came to our course, she answered, “Because I needed to see how you do it in the civilian world”.

Given the limited time we have with each of you, we try to pack as much experience and learning moments into our time with you as possible.  That’s why we ask everyone to show up rested, with no virtual commitments for 3 days.  Our goal is that students learn more in three days with us than at any other training in the USA.  Come see for yourself.
